In 2006 he started the wind energy business "West Wind Energy LLC". One of Dr. Brantley’s reasons for starting his business was an unsatisfactory purchase of a wind turbine bought on E-bay. His $15,000 turbine ended up costing over $65,000 to get operational. Other reasons include the lack of any sales, installation or maintenance for small to mid size wind turbines in the state at that time. West Wind Energy’s goal is to let the wind become your window of opportunity. In the near future wind will help supply 20% of the nation’s energy supply. Farming the wind is the way of the future. Our turbines can help offset the electrical expenses, of farms, irrigation wells, oil wells, communities, industries, and schools, or any other potential place that uses electricity.Located in Otis Kansas, our crew of trained professionals receives the mid-size turbines from California. These turbines are refurbished and inspected in our shop then shipped to the selected location and installed. Our staff will work with you to determine the prime location, the style of turbine that will best fit your needs, and the amount of time the turbine will take to produce enough electricity to offset your expenses. Currently Kansas displays several of West Wind Energy’s wind turbines, with more on the horizon. |
